Kearsley Couture/Bespoke

Ordering Process

Kearsley creates nearly every piece to the exact specifications of our clients.  We have also created a Bespoke Lite program available through our E-Shop at  Please contact Kearsley to register for a trade account and applicable discount.

We love creating completely unique products for the trade and private clients.  In this digital sample book, you will find a variety of our fabrics with descriptions of their traits and uses as well as their color availability.  We are happy to help guide to what will function best for your projects.  Heather Kearsley is available by appointment to meet in person or virtually with you and/or your clients.

Except our cashmere, all of our bed linens are washable and made of fabrics we have designed for optimal experience.

Many of our fabrics are available “To the Trade” through Sloan Miyasato, San Francisco, by the yard and are wide format.  This is great for railroading curtains, bed hangings, upholstery, etc.

Things to keep in mind when creating your ideal sleep experience:

What are the sleeping needs for each of the beds?

How many and what size/shape pillows are needed for each bed to sleep and read with.  Always order extra pillowcases to rotate in from the beginning.  Pillowcases wear out more quickly than sheets.

Do the sleepers need a dual temperature zones?  We can make a duvet with two climate zones at no additional charge and we can make a cashmere blanket to keep under the top covers for extra warmth for the cool sleeper.  We generally design the sheets for the warmest sleeper and then adjust the cooler sleeper’s side.

For warm sleepers and warm climates, we recommend linen or a more moderate thread count.  Percale breathes more readily than sateen.  Cashmere breathes beautifully and when combined with linen sheets, the combination wicks moisture and breathes amazingly well.

Foam and synthetic mattresses are both unhealthy and do not breathe well.  If replacing a mattress is not an option, consider adding a cotton or cotton/wool mattress topper.

Synthetic filled duvets and pillows do not breathe well.  Our Norvegr Duvets with pure down and walled channel construction allow air flow and are simply superb.

Few people are actually allergic to down, but many people are allergic to dust mites.  Synthetic fill is an 8x better environment for dust mites.  Down pillows and duvets can be tumbled in a hot dryer every couple of weeks, which kills any dust mites.
